Tom is up by 691 - but the last County he lost is down to provisionals only.

Republicans in the North Bay are also wondering where the California Republican Party stands on this new assault on the pocketbooks of Californians. So far, the silence from the California Republican Party leadership is deafening.

A Tale of Two Elk Groves

Phillip Stark | Bio

When I attended a recent political forum sponsored by the League of Women Voters, I was prepared to jot down information to help win the war against the incumbents running for Elk Grove City Council....As the forum went on I was amazed at the audaciousness our incumbents exhibited in their attempt to justify their past eight years in office.  They clearly exhibited a lack of humility when explaining past decisions, ignorance when offering up to-little-too-late solutions and arrogance when asking for our vote.

From the very beginning of his campaign, Kevin Johnson had everything going for him.

The Police get fantastic benefits and a retirement program. The Police department is not hurting. Give me a break! Most of Sacramento crime is petty and B&E, anyway. They can handle that. They can be resilient. You as a private citizen has to do it - ah...they can too.

We have too many friends on both sides of the aisle and on some levels Im not comfortable telling people who I think they should vote for. You should figure that out for yourselves. That’s democracy. (of course, if someone is full of lawlessness, that goes without saying.)

Last night the Bee launched a new blog; “The Swarm”. A blog by the braintrust that is the Editorial Board of the Sacramento bee. Now, let me say that im digging the title. Creative. I like it.

Well, until I read it.

When it comes to Schwarzenegger, i dare anyone to point out to me where he has brought real reform to California. He has not proven to be a reformer. He has proven to be a con-former. His brand is very phony.

So this is the executive experience that we voted for? You ‘Met Payrolls’? That was one of your accomplishments that you ran on, remember? So Far all we got is a dude who flies around the world burning tons of toxic fuel in the phantom fight against global warming, does a cameo in The Rundown, and hints to the Media like every other day about changing the Constitution so he can run for president. OH, HEY THAT’S BEEN REAL COMFORTING.

Special Interests run Sacramento now more than ever - where the hell else would you see a bill to BAN CHURCH BINGO!?

Casinos don’t want competition and neither do Public Employee Unions. Unions you ask? Certainly, make it impossible for private charities to stay afloat financially enabling the government to take direct control of more social services…

SB1369 is so poorly written that it could screw the California State Lottery as well - I thought Democrats were about education? (Schools get 1/3 of Lotto Proceeds)

How much is enough? You get the California Supreme Court to override Prop 22 - now marriage licenses can not say Husband and Wife anymore…
But, wait Harvey Milk Day is introduced. Harvey Milk is to be lifted to the same status as George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.
We already have Cesar Chavez Day - Chavez had major Communist influences and ties, and the same brilliance that brought that about is now pushing another PAID HOLIDAY FOR STATE EMPLOYEES WHILE THE STATE HAS A MASSIVE DEFICIT.

Harvey Milk was a homosexual activist who was a San Francisco supervisor until he was killed in 1978. Milk championed homosexual experimentation,
sexual activism, and the abolishment of sexual boundaries. He also regarded organized religion as dangerous.

Im still reeling over the Fact that Don Vito Perata is willing to back down on the Tax, Baby Tax and Spend, Momma Spend mantra of the Democratic Caucus.

Kevin Johnson’s Flip on Gay Marriage Will Sooth Bass and His Liberal Buddies but undercut his rebuilt-paper-thin-on-thin-ice-credibility with Sacramento Voters.

im not the biggest Governor Schwarzenegger Fan but the last thing he needs is the noise of foolhardy Union Bosses screaming in his face.
