Cutting Sacramento City Government is the ONLY way to start to deal with the budget issue

The Bee is over hyping the budget cuts to police department and Sacramento Police Chief Rick Braziel is doing everything he can to ruin The Current Mayor’s chance at winning reelection.

Today, we find that 900 city employees (one-fifth) will be required to take one unpaid day off per month effective Jan. 1.

Tell me? What in the Hell is wrong with that?

The police department will have to work a little harder. Oh, boo hoo hoo.

The Police get fantastic benefits and retirement program. The Police department is not hurting. Give me a break! Most of Sacramento crime is petty and B&E, anyway. They can handle that. They can be resilient. You as a private citizen has to do it they can too.

Cutting back is the right and healthy thing to do. The Economy of Sacramento will bounce back - but the next mayor will need to have a clear grasp on economic issues and should not be so encumbered with police and fire that their unions have their way with the budget. This would be bad for Sacramento. Truly.
