My wife and I drove to Wilton tonight to attend the event for the Sacramento Builders’ Exchange. It was a great event. My wife doesn’t really like things like this but loved tonight.
Many local candidates were there. Elk Grove Councilwoman Sophia Sherman and candidate Steve Deirick were there and working the crowd very well. Detrick is someone I don’t know well, but he is sure hard not to like. His wife is even nicer. It must be the bald head thing that makes him such a good candidate.
Ken Cooley from Rancho Cordova was also there. I did not know he is scheduled to be the new 2nd Vice President of the League of Cities. Good for him.
Saw Michelle Orrock too. She is working hard.
I understand Kevin Johnson was slated to come. If he did it was after we left.
My camera was in the car so I did not take pictures. There is just no way I can explain how well done this event was. First class.
